The GroundGuard® RR Root Reinforcement mat is an effective choice for securing plant roots in all types of erosion or wind prone areas. The tough nylon mesh has an open structure which makes it a perfect environment for soil and plants to embed and entangle; permanently securing plant roots in place.

This video explains the proper installation techniques for our Green Roof Products ; Advanced Drain (Formerly known as Watairvent Green Roof), Ground Guard RR and Ground Guard VM. Although the Ground Guard RR Name isn’t specifically used, these techniques apply when installing Ground Guard RR as well.
Install root reinforcement mats in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions at locations indicated on the Drawings.
Install root reinforcement mats to allow permanent securing of plant roots in soil.
Butt root reinforcement mats together without overlapping.
Protect installed root reinforcement mats from damage during construction.
