Advanced Drain® is our multi-purpose drainage and ventilation mat used in a number of applications. Available in .125”, .25”, .4”, and .5” thicknesses, these drainage composite mats consist of parallel geometric drainage channels backed with a nonwoven filter fabric designed to eliminate hydrostatic pressure from behind below grade foundation walls, retaining walls, and planters.
Advanced Drain® is produced from an extruded polymer matrix of randomly entangled monofilaments. The polymer matrix is then shaped into a series of parallel channels designed to allow air and moisture flow in all directions. A nonwoven filter fabric is then heat bonded to the entangled net to prevent soil from entering the matrix of the system, while providing ample air and moisture flow.

Additional Information
A. Install composite drainage mats in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions at locations indicated on the Drawings.
B. Install composite drainage mats:
1. To allow flow of water in all directions within drainage core.
2. To prevent soil from entering drainage core while providing ample flow of water.
C. Secure composite drainage mats to surfaces with termination bars in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
D. Butt composite drainage mats together without overlapping.
E. Overlap the fabric flap for sealing adjacent composite drainage mats to prevent soil intrusion at joints.
Protect installed composite drainage mats from damage during construction.
Be sure to run the Advanced Drain over the positive drain pipe.
